cant wait for kenshi, easily the best next gen fighter, and its about time skarlett got into a game...hell it only took Ermac one game to get in....17 years later here's skarletts debut...and she's dlc...lol. Fail on her part.

Yeah, Kenshi was great. I would also love for Shujinko to show up, but I don't foresee it happening. I'm wondering if there will be DLC costumes too, since some of the alts are really badass in this game. I really wouldn't mind an MK3 unmasked subzero, Kabal from his ending, etc. I also really want Shang's old school soul steal fatality (even though he pretty much just has it as a throw now, which also heals him, which is badass)

Yea id like to see a DLC package that had all the classics for the male and female ninjas.


Id also like to see an MK3 scorpion. that ninja uniform was bad ass.

It would be real cool if they did a classics fatality bundle like shangs fatality, liu kangs arcade drop, sub zeros snow ball, the female ninja kisses of death etc etc

Shang Tsung is sooooooooooooooooo bad ass in this its redic. if any character is unbalance its Tsung. but he's unbalanced in a really awesome way. (Shujinko would be boss but i cant see him making it based off him being an Amalgam of special moves.)

the dlc Ermac costume is the tits btw. And they will def realease all the preorder costumes in dlc in like 4 months. they always do that shit.

with the events of shao kahn breaking the rules which caused all the hero's deaths, I imagine the elder gods would reverse much if not all of the damage done by kahn like how raiden was going to be able to bring back scorpions clan

i dont think so. I think the point of the final scene was that Shinnok had gotten the worriors he needed for the Nether Realm to challenge Earth Realm in mortal kombat. i think by rewritting history raiden has opended up the door for a much greater threat. Earth greatest heros fighting AGAINST it.

Either way, I want evil/god Liu Kang, and super powered but disciplined Shang from Shang's ending. Also, I'm fully expecting Scorpion to go after Quan Chi in the next one, since he doesn't in this one.


Anyway, the potential is there for the next one, I just hope they can introduce enough new characters, without getting rid of the old ones. That's one of the reasons I love this game, it has all the characters I love, not some of the crappy/bland new ones. Although I expect some guys to show up in the future, since they have cameos in this game (Havik, Fujin, Shinnok, Bo Rai Cho)

Shinnok will b the boss of the next one, and scorpion's arc in mk 4 (which the next one will be a re-telling of) was him going after Quan Chi so i think that is a very safe bet...and i love Fujin. Fujin > Raiden.

Yeah, there is some way to do them to Kintaro and Goro. I think it has something to do with doing one to Shao Kahn, and maybe inputting it before it falls. There's also one for Shao Kahn, but I can't figure that one out.

I really like Destor's idea for Netherealm's opposition in the sequel. Really hope they go that way.

Also, you guys are talking about kenshi and scarlet as DLC, but you do know that Kintaro is coming in the same pack, right?

I think Rain is a given at this point. Motaro as well, given that his model is already made, and technically in the game. I'm thinking we won't see that many more characters until the sequel. They'll definitely want to save characters like fujin and reiko for the next game. I think we have enough for now anyway. I'd rather see new costumes and stages(that have stage fatalities) at this point.

Also, I'm only about halfway through beating the ladder with everyone, but so far my favorite character to use is the same as my favorite in trilogy, Sindel.

yes more stage fatalities PLEASE. and i just did the sindel bit in challenge tower like fine ago, what is up with the range on her yell tho? its like two inches in front of her, when is that useful? great kombos on tho...pretty much everything other than her yell is tops.

Motoro will never be in it. They barely used him in the cut scenes let alone fighting. Great character but way to complex in a fighting game like this.


I think if you dont use the block button in any of your matches in the ladder and perform a babality on everyone you face, you automatically babality the boss characters including shao kahn

challenge 300 is fuckin rediculous.

actually managed to make the sub bosses somewhat difficult, usually i can flawledd goro but his "armor" is even more resistant. same holds for kintaro which is a pain cause he`s so grab happy. and then melina hits and eats up most/all of my health thanks to the random no block stip so if i do make it kahn its just me praying my spam technique holds...which it hasnt.
pretty sure striker or lui kang will lead me to victory...might be able to spam kung loas teleport grab but ive had little success so far. same with teleport stomp spamming from sheeva. managed to make it to

using lui kang or sindel is the best way to beat kahn... just span the low fireball and jump over his hammer

like i said tho their "armor" holds up better so where you would have interupted his spear toss with you projectile now he might actually get it off.

the bosses in this game are rediculously easy. usually i can double flawless shoakahn as long as i can get away from him at the begginging of round 1. Goro and Kintaro are crazy easy too. just jump uppercut. but this challenge 300 actually amps their difficulty.

the low fire balls of kang and sindel clears under the spear so it doesnt matter

true as it is it doesnt hold up in practice. you cant just sit and wait for him to throw his spear. you have to keep lobbing to keep him at bay. so eventually the pattern is going to cause you to get hit as some point. which would be a big deal if i had a full health bar, but i never do. couple that with switching between being weakend and having block disabled and them gaining health or being over powered and it makes for a pretty heafty challenge.

i think striker is going to be key here. his ability to roll throw under the hammer/spear makes him the perfect shoa kahn killer but im not as good with him against melina as i should be. need to go learn a 10 hit combo with him...melina + no blocking = crazy hard btw.

This was probably mentioned but I saw Frost fighting Kenshi in the Pit Stage so she will probably be DLC.

Finished Story mode on Hard. It definately sets up a sequel.

why cant you wait for him to throw a spear? lob the low fireballs and when you see him going for the spear time the projectile its not that hard....


teleporting guys work great against his hammer throws as well.... kung lao especially
