is blatantly untrue. That wasn't the story. The story was that the entire face of the company had changed. That Friday nights were about to get a big shake-up and John Cena was returning to the show where he first became famous but has been away from for six years.

There were no odds to overcome. RAW wasn't "fucked." They got Rey Mysterio with the second pick, the same Rey Mysterio who is the second-biggest merch mover on the roster and a former multiple-time world champion. They later got Alberto Del Rio, co-number-one contender for the World Heavyweight Title and Big Show current co-holder of the Tag Team Titles and - oh, yeah! - a former multiple-time WWE and World Champion (plus WCW, ECW...). There's no crisis.

It was "John Cena is going to revolutionize the other brand! You can't miss Friday Night SmackDown! Oh, wait, yes you can. He's back. Never mind. Ha ha. Whoops."
