Social inclusiveness (if that is something that exists).

Like if EVERYONE has seen something - especially films like The Godfather as they are seen as "The Best Movie Ever Made" - people often feel compelled to say the have seen them too, so as to be part of the "community".

Expectations are that certain films have to be watched and you could be looked upon as "a lesser being" for not having seen them.

Of course it turns out that a lot of people have been lying anyway, so is The Godfather one of those films that EVERYONE has seen?
