While I agree that so many guys could really tell a great story in an Iron Man Match, as someone said, there needs to be a story there, and the WWE is only going to dedicate such a story to a major storyline.
Personally, I think CM Punk would be a good candidate for an Iron Man Match. He can physically go the distance, people either hate him or love him (he gets pops from smart crowds), and he's allowed to breathe so much into his feuds. Who could his opponent be? Well, anybody. Daniel Bryan's style would fit the match, but he's not on RAW at the moment. Someone mentioned John Morrison, though, and I think he would be my pick. Either him or Kofi Kingston. You might not think that either guy's style would fit the match, but I think it would be an arrival party for them. After an Iron Man Match, these two guys would be seen differently, not only by the fans, but by the WWE. If a feud between Morrison and Punk (who have great chemistry) or Kofi and Punk was allowed to get really personal, until the point where Punk perhaps put his career on the line against either man -- I guarantee an amazingly charged match. |
