I don't understand this "Face of SmackDown" concept. Or booking the entire show around one guy.

Surely it'd be better to concentrate on everyone on the show top to bottom? To make the whole show enjoyable from top to bottom? To push a number of talents in attempt to get the roster of stars over.

By positioning Orton as the "Cena of SmackDown" do they not risk ramming him down our throats and getting the same reaction that Cena gets?

Also, when did being considered a "reliable hand" become a bad thing? I know from Jericho's book that this is part of the reason why he left in 2005. How is it a bad thing to be a guy that they can trust to go out there and perform for the crowd, put on a good match and drop a decent promo on a weekily basis?

In any other business surely "Mr Reliable" would be your go-to guy in a sticky situation? Why risk pushing/promoting someone new when you have somebody you know can do a good job for you?
