Vancouver would gain more with Boychuk playing than not playing because his goof up in Game 1 or 2 gave Vancouver the game winner and he almost gave up another goof to Vancouver when it was still 0-0 last night.

Not really the point. The league should have still gone through the procedures of having a meeting with Boychuk, and reviewing the play with him. I don't even think it was a suspension worthy hit, just bad luck as Raymond went into the board awkwardly. Just the fact that Murphy said just last week that the severity of the injury is a factor in deciding a suspension(agree with it or not, it's what he said) then he doesn't even acknowledge this hit. Makes him look like a fucking douchebag hypocrite. Media is Van is going apeshit over this, calling conspiracy theories and the whole 9 yards. I won't use the refs as an excuse, because Vancouver didn't deserve to win game 3,4,6. I just don't understand why they let that post whistle shit go on. Regular season, there would be penalties left right and center. All the refs needed to do was call one, maybe 2 penalties in those post whistle scrums, and they would have stopped, or at least been less obvious. |
