That was amazing, as expected. Almost feel like the end was SLIGHTLY anti-climactic, but that's just nitpicking. Both segments were perfect.

As WWKD said, I really hope they don't blow it. I honestly wouldn't mind Punk swerving and joining Vince, but IF Punk is staying on through at least SummerSlam, they could do so much with him.

I honestly find it hard to believe that WWE is going to push Punk this hard and fast right out the door. Yes, it could be WWE doing the "see, we can push you and use you right" BS, but he's being booked so strong and is getting over by such a ridiculous amount that they're only adding to his name value. His name value is bigger right now than it ever has been. And WWE is going to let that walk away from them? Seems unlikely.

Right now, and I don't feel I'm exaggerating, I feel that that if they harness what they have they may very well have something on the level of Austin after the Mania 13 match.

Yeah. That's basically my feelings on the whole thing as well. I know reports indicate he is really leaving, but I'm finding it hard to believe.

I see this a little differently. It's time to cue up:

[wishful thinking] Punk does "leave", in the same manner that Daniel Bryan was "fired". He takes the belt (i'm not going to paraphrase Vince Russo from Bash at the Beach again, but you get the idea) and we don't see it again. He gives it that re-design he touched on in tonight's promo gold. Possibly chucks the spinner off the "Roody-Poo Bridge".

Punk actually gets to "leave" with the belt in the way Heyman described the "Sandman's blind" angle, where Sandman stayed home to sell it. He gets to defend it in a way similar to how the whole Tazz/Awesome thing went down over the ECW belt. This sells he's actually "gone from WWE", gets the internets abuzzed with "how much of this is a shoot?" and an "embarassed" Vinnie Mac eventually "re-signs" Punk, Cabana, and possibly by the sounds of things, The Kings of Wrestling.

Cena gets "fired" (read: they finally give their workhorse a well deserved gorram vacation) to have The Rock come back, close to next year's Wrestlemania, of course, to get him "re-hired" for that match.

And we see a return of the WWE Ice Cream Bars. [/wishful thinking]

Not only that, but if he's actually shooting his way out the door, where is WWE getting their payoff from letting him do this? Having him job to Cena before he leaves isn't going to make it even. If this is Punk leaving, then it's Punk leaving while making the WWE sound like the worst place ever. There has to be some sort of rehabilitation planned after this. They can't just let Punk say all this stuff and leave.
