I don't like judging people when they're still running the show. Comparing Tennant's body of three seasons plus several specials to Smith's one (point five) season is a little rough. Especially when Tennant started off with a couple of REALLY bad episodes (Not counting the Christmas invasion). Smith is, at the very least, competent in the role and I love his Doctor, but he's new.

The planet of weeping angels weren't easily outdone. It takes two episodes and the Doctor has to fuck up royally before they know how boned they are.

There's a lot I don't like about those episodes, but the Angles were a real threat. Weakened, but a threat.
