See, Nash should just be Tyson Kidd's bodyguard. Then we have Nash on the show and Kidd in the ring.

Somehow leading to Kidd V Punk

And I meant to say (thus the quoting) that hearing David Flair's theme would have been more satisfying than what it is. Would have had the added bonus of being chuckle worthy.

I think we can all agree that Nash should have come out to the Wolfpack music.

Also, why is no one discussing the fact that Triple H VS CM Punk is being rushed to PPV?

I can't believe that there is an entire page of the Raw thread that's just a debate about Nash's music. In typical IWC fashion, people bitch about Nash having no music (even though it made sense for him not to have music at that time) and when he gets music, they bitch about what music it is he has.

But I'd like to talk about the Orton/Ziggler match instead.

It was a great match and Ziggler was fantastic in it. To me, it was a PPV-esq match. So many turns in the match, mostly from Ziggler that made him look like a legitimate threat to Orton. There were times where I thought that maybe Ziggler would win and pull off an upset.

The ending I think may have been botched as it did look like Orton was getting ready to hit an RKO when Ziggler was in the air but he went against it, but that doesn't matter. The ending still looked good.

To me anyway, that was match of the night.

I'm also interested to see how this "Super Show" business plays out and if this is indeed the end of the "Brand Extension".

In typical IWC fashion, a poster acts high and mighty, as if he is above a particular discussion.

There can be a disagreement and discussion about something, without it being "bitching". It doesn't actually bother me that Nash came out to the NWO theme, and I'd guess it didn't bother anyone else who said the same. We were just commenting about how it felt odd.

I didn't know we were only allowed to talk about things that are of the utmost importance around here.

I wasn't acting "high and mighty", I was purely saying how I can't believe a page of the Raw thread is just complaining about music.

But you had loads of things to talk about from Raw.

Orton/Ziggler
Lawler's comments about Otunga & McGillicutty
Triple H vs Punk
Is that Sin Cara 1 or 2 that's in the ring?
Where is the Swagger/Ziggler angle going?
The team of Miz & Truth
Even the name of Kofi & Bourne's team, to name a few.

Instead, you chose to talk about one of the most meaningless things that happened on Raw, the choice of someone's music.

After about two weeks of complaining that Nash has no music, he get's music and people aren't happy at it. I'm not saying you can't talk about it, it's just why talk about something so pointless? Nobody is going to care in the future about the music Nash used last night. But if you want to talk about Nash's music, then fine.

Personally, I think the choice of Nash's music is understandable. Diesel's theme wouldn't suit him as he isn't Diesel, he's Kevin Nash. His 2003 theme sounds too much like Diesel's theme but when he was in the nWo, Kevin Nash was himself and that's who Kevin Nash is at the moment. Kevin Nash is playing Kevin Nash on WWE television, so it makes sense to give him the theme from when he was himself.

Also....

... because some people were too busy bitching about the part where I stated my taste in music instead of the part where I mentioned the announcment of HHH/Punk seemed shoehorned into the program.

But not for awhile yet. Not a knock on HeelZiggles in a "he doesn't deserve it" way, but a testament to the fact that he is totally elevating the US Title right now. That match with Orton gave it that much more credibility and can seriously give the rub to whoever finally wins it from him and a shot in the arm to the midcard title picture.

Someday, but not too soon to derail this.

He impresses me each time he is giving the ball to work with guys like Orton or Cena. I just feel like now the Vickie crap is interfering with the credibility. I don't want to see Swagger and Dolph fighting for her...I want them fighting for the US title...take her out the picture and Dolph will elevate the US title to higher heights because the attention will be focus on HIM!

Because it's a hot feud that could have taken MONTHS to marinate and have us enjoy. We had HHH saying he wouldn't lay a hand on Punk yet a month later now he's going to fight him?

You could have teased this for a long time. HHH could be a tweener as a guy that looks like he's trying to put forth a good product, but perhaps he's just another Vince McMahon.

This is the kind of feud that could have been a WrestleMania match.

There's still no reason WHY you need HHH and Punk at a PPV that's going to have every belt on the line. In fact WHY is this match happening at THIS PPV when there is no belt?! Nash vs. Punk could have been an unsanctioned grduge match or what not, but what's this going to be?

To me, what's most upsetting is the WWE is blowing an opportunity to give the rub to someone else. Maybe they make the Nash physical part of the storyline, and Punk comes out to berate him, but all of a sudden a mid card heel comes out to take Punk out to replace Nash.

Who could that be?
How about Ziggler, Swagger, Barrett or even Christian? Same cryptic text comes to them and now they're the one having the match.

It leads to an eventual corporate type stable, while prolonging the HHH/Punk match.

Why don't we all just simmer down, and wait to see where they go with this, before we squat down and take a dump on WWE's face. Like others have said, this could be part of an angle.

The latest word is that due to Nash having an issue with his physical they are going down this route.

I don't know what direction they're going so I will refrain from forming an opinion on the match until more comes out. I trust that WWE has more planned for this story than just "we need a big match to sell the PPV so we'll just throw this match out there."

But I do know that if they had done Hogan/Sting a month after the Bash at the Beach, all the stuff that happened after that would not have been nearly as cool as it was. But I have faith that there is something else going on with this story than what we've seen so far.

I guess we'll just have to tune in next week to find out!

The music doesn't really matter.

Especially as it seems WWE have banked on a guy that can't even wrestle and have let that guy get the upperhand physically over their hottest property (Punk) for the last 3 weeks.

I this were TNA people here would be all over it. (see: the Main Event Mafia debacle)

Well guess this explains it. From the Front Page:

The Reason WWE Changed CM Punk vs. Kevin Nash
By Ryan Clark on Tuesday, August 30th, 2011 at 12:43 PM EST

Partial Source: The Wrestling Observer

WWE officials made the decision some time in the past week or so that Kevin Nash won’t be wrestling for them. It’s likely Nash will stick around for the time being and participate in the occasional angle but unless something changes, he won’t be having a match. This is why CM Punk vs. Kevin Nash at Night of Champions was changed to Punk vs. Triple H. WWE knew going into RAW last night that Nash wouldn’t be wrestling.

We reported last week that Nash recently went to Pittsburgh to do physicals for the company and something happened there that made them decide that they don’t want Nash in the ring taking bumps and doing something as physical as a whole match. There is still some chance that Nash could end up wrestling but something happened after the physicals that has put a roadblack in front of Nash’s return match.

The decision to put Triple H in the match with Punk wasn’t made until yesterday afternoon. The original plans had Punk going over Nash at Night of Champions.

Still hope its changed and the Punk/HHH is held off in some way.

I could imagine a lot of things, but not Triple H in an Iron Man match. At least not a 60 minute one.

Triple H went like, what, 30, 35 minutes vs Undertaker? He can still do a fullblown Iron Man Match, even more so with Punk.

He's older now, and has a lot more injuries. Like I said, 30 minutes I could see. But I can't see a 60 minute match without a lot of restholds, and slow stuff.
