Only thing is, why did they bother arranging Nash/Punk at all? Why not just have Hunter say he wants Punk instead earlier on in the night.

Well hey, the WWE is destroying marketable angles in record time now.

In 2010 it was taking Nexus and a main eventer in Barret, taking a great 6 month build and blowing it off in mere weeks. The Nexus stuff never recovered and now Barrett is stuck between midcard and jobber.

Now you have CM Punk, where the WWE strikes gold and has the biggest "Stone Cold" type of anti hero since the whole Austin 3:16 stuff almost 15 years ago. He has one of the better feuds in a LONG time, and the WWE turns him face.

They knock him down a peg but it's ok, we got a nice long building feud to have HHH/Corporation take on the new anti-hero. It's all perfectly put in place to have this be a long standing feud that not only can be a great main event feud without involving Cena, but could begin to elevate other heels to join with the Corporate WWE stable.

Instead, they're going to blow all of this off and instead, put HHH/Punk in a match ONE MONTH after it begins?!?!

One has to hope this WILL NOT happen, or I think I'm just going to give up on WWE for good. Really don't see the point investing myself into a good product if the WWE is going to destroy great feuds to spite itself.

Look I think Nash/Punk is pretty stupid as you could have easily elevated another heel.

But blowing off HHH/Punk already is just pure stupidity. At the least, this could have been held off until Survivor Series and SHOULD have been a co-main event to WrestleMania.

Look I think Nash/Punk is pretty stupid as you could have easily elevated another heel.

But blowing off HHH/Punk already is just pure stupidity. At the least, this could have been held off until Survivor Series and SHOULD have been a co-main event to WrestleMania.
I dunno, I'd rather see Punk in a title match at Mania. Just me tho

I have a feeling Nash vs Punk will still happen. It was just so fucking random to do it at the end of the night like that. Obviously wasn't even shown in the arena.

If it doesn't happen, I'm thinking Nash may have failed the talent tests or something. And if it doesn't, they're blowing their load WAAYYYYYYY to early on Punk vs Hunter. That needs to stew until AT LEAST Survivor Series, preferably longer. Hunter is still being shoehorned into his spot, and Punk is still finding his place at the top.

Thinking about it, maybe Vince made/is making the call. Or Johnny Ace is making it for Vince. And something weird will happen in the match.

Just see it as todays "Austin vs Vince" I guess. Punk being the outspoken "rebel" or whatever you want to call it, and Triple H as "The Boss".

You never know what will happen at the PPV or even tomorrow. For all you know, on SmackDown, Stephanie could say no to the match happening as Triple H is COO. So Triple H quits but he can't as he has to wait until his COO contract runs out, which will be before Survivor Series or whatever. Or at NoC, Laurinaitis could interrupt the match so it'll have to take place again at some point. So many possibilities.

Basically, give it all time. Storylines need time to develop in order to be interesting to the viewers.
