Before the NWO, who challenged the Four Horsemen?
Feel like I can't remember any other stables ever threatening the Four Horsemen's reign during the 80s and early 90s.
Kind of wish Hogan, Savage, Piper and Sting could have started a stable in 1985. It's time to make TPWW MEAT again! Quote:

No official stable challenged them to my knowledge. Was always just two or three faces banding together to put a stop to their hijinks.
Unless the dungeon of doom challenged them. I didn't watch wcw back then because it was beyond awful. Seriously. You think wcw 2000 was bad? You have no idea. |

No it wasn't, it was actually quite good, other than Mongo and Big Bubba being in the stables and made sense for them to feud as it stopped them joining forces to take on the nWo so they could grow bigger.

The Yeti was brought in for the DoD's feud with Hogan, not the Horsemen

I know, but it was still in that time period.
Hate the Dungeon of Doom. They couldn't think of anything better than "woman"? |

"Woman oh Woman won't you marry me now!', Flair use to say....he made it somewhat funny and entertaining. Yeah the DoD and the Horsemen actually joined forces to put an 'end' to Hulkamania. Well, during the hostile takeover period before the actual nWo, they kind of split up because of a fued between Sullivan and Benoit, which actually produced some decent to watch matches.

D'oh! The retirement match, I forgot!
The Dungeon slowly fades At some point during the spring of 1996, Hogan revealed that the man known as “the Zodiac” was actually a spy sent to join the group by Hogan, his old friend had been spying for Hulk all this time. The revelation transformed the Zodiac into the Booty Man, an ally of Hogan and Randy Savage as they faced the Alliance to End Hulkamania (which consisted of several Dungeon members as well as Ric Flair and Arn Anderson). At this point the “Alliance” became the focal point while the Dungeon of Doom itself became less prominent.[2] Hogan and Savage defeated the Alliance to End Hulkamania at Uncensored inside the Tower of Doom Steel Cage.[6] After the loss, the Dungeon members returned to the group and started to feud with people other than Hogan and his friends.[2] The feud between the Dungeon and Four Horsemen would ultimately lead to the collapse of the Dungeon. Chris Benoit defeated Sullivan in a Retirement Match at Bash at the Beach 1997 after Jacqueline turned on Sullivan and hit him over the head with a chair, leading to Benoit scoring the pinfall. Jimmy Hart would continue to manage the Faces of Fear, Meng and the Barbarian, for several months until the team was broken up in 1998. |

The Dudes with Attitudes were a group of faces who tried in vain to stop the 4 Horsemen. Led by Sting, it included Lex Luger, Junkyard Dog, the Steiner Brothers, Paul Orndorff, and El Gigante. (I may be missing someone). Basically it was any face teaming with Sting against the Horsemen and not really a FORMAL stable.
I remember WCW at one point doing a mail-in deal where fans could become an honorary member of the Dudes w/ Attitudes, though I don't believe membership included a pair of Zubaz pants. |

The Horseman were around for years and they fueded with everyone from Dusty Rhodes, Magnum TA, Road Warriors, Rock and Roll Express, Sting, Luger, Barry Windham. but really the closet they got to facing another stable was Rhodes, Kollof and Road Warrios in War games.

I dont know what your talkin about, Cap. This is pure wrestling GOLD!!!! Side note, even as a kid I thought The Taskmaster came of as kinda a joke. On one side of evil you have The Undertaker a 7ft, pale, emotionless, monster and on the other side you have Kevin Sullivan this short, pudgy, balding man. Maybe if he was built like Maxx Muscle (big guy with Jimmy Hart in the vid) maybe he would have been alittle more believable
