For what it's worth, in a perfect world they would get Jericho and do Daniel Bryan vs Jericho. Think about it, DB gets his title shot, at WM, against the first guy he wrestled in the WWE (who was the champ at the time), and beat him. It'd be epic.
If not, it should be Barrett. The winner of season 1 of NXT vs The guy that "should" have won, but was eliminated early, fighting for the title. The build up could be epic.
Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with it being Orton, but it doesn't feel special.

Jericho would be the absolute best choice, but I'm not sure Jericho will be back in time for Mania. I'm not sure who Orton would then face, but I guess they could throw him into some sort of match with Alberto Del Rio, or something. You know. Because.
Another option is that they have Orton win the Royal Rumble, jump to RAW, and challenge CM Punk. It'd be the second meeting between the two in as many WrestleManias, but this time both are babyfaces with the WWE Title on the line.
