The thing I don't understand is that I'm reading that supposedly Steve Austin would love to wrestle Brock, yet back in the day, he didn't want to put him over.
I'm not sure if Steve stills feels that way, but you've got to believe he's not going to come out of retirement to LOSE. And Brock isn't going to come back to WWE, being a huge UFC star, to LOSE. I think it'd probably be a match where people run in toward the end and it ends up a draw or something. |

He didn't wanna put him over in a throwaway match on Raw. He wanted a programme/build up to a match/loss.

That was then, and this is now, and neither of them is going to want to come back after such a long time, and lose.
I do see Punk putting Stone Cold over, if everything is done right and with a purpose, so if Austin ever comes back, that's the match I think we'd see, Austin vs Punk. And everytime I've read a Stone Cold interview, that's the match he's said he'd like to do. |

Why should Punk have to put Austin over, though? It would be so much better for business for Punk to win, and I really don't think Austin would be adverse to losing to Punk given the right circumstances.

Hogan lost to The Rock TWICE, so...I guess there's a chance Austin would put Punk over, but...I wouldn't bet on it. These Mega-Stars like Rock and Austin have huge egos.

Austin and Rock know what's best for the business. As long as it wouldn't hurt them, I honestly believe they would job.
And the Austin/Brock thing honestly showed that he knows what's best. He knew an Austin/Brock match shouldn't be wasted on a one-off on TV, and I have little problem with him balking on that. |

I actually think we'll get Punk vs. Austin at WM30. That way Punk can have plenty of time to have a successful face run, and then gradually become a heel again to face Austin.

Austin would put Punk over. It'd only be a case of him returning to face another past star like a Hogan or Rock where I think egos would come into it.

People, the more I read about Skip Sheffield's "Ryback" character, the more I start to feel this may be what the "itbegins2012" thing is all about.

I feel that will disappoint people, though. Skip Sheffield is a really solid big man, but getting speculation like this is just going to get people's hopes up, and then we'll get a Shockmaster-like disappointment. Even your average mark must be thinking something like "Undertaker!" right now. It's not just the undertones of the video, but phrases like "familiar force" and "reclaiming what is his." Maybe other videos will change that.

I'm not going to lie, I did think of someone in association with this I did not want to mention; but seeing "Big Stein" just reasserted my Goldberg suspicions...

Wouldn't make sense if it was Goldberg considering he keeps asking for too much money and sort of left the WWE in a sour note.
Also he wouldn't have anyone really to feud with that would make any sense right off the bat like potentially Jericho could with Punk involving the "Greatest in the World" tag or potentially Undertaker making his yearly return for Mania. |

No wait..
Clearly Tony Schiavone is coming to replace Cole since A) they're looking for announcers and B) its the 2 days before the anniversary of the same show as the fingerpoke of doom where he spoiled Foley's win over the Rock for the title. ![]() |

![]() This is the greatest night in the history of the WWE Universe's Sport! I can only imagine him cutting a heel promo like he did in TNA. Waiting 10 years to come to WWE..they used Arn Anderson, Ernest Miller,Hugh Morrus and now Booker T from WCW for commentary after WWE bought WCW but never gave him a call..his rightful spot is to do commentary with JR on RAW and he's finally made it! |

LOL Tony Schiavone could show up on RAW and do what Michael Cole is doing (the obnoxious commentary, etc) and it wouldn't bother me one bit. |

tonyschiavone24 Tony Schiavone @
I was approached by the wwe only once, and that was to be on one of their dvd's. I declined. Every time a get a tweet from someone that says they saw me on a Nitro DVD, then I know I have missed a big payday. LOL Oh, like most fans who were tired of my lame-ass commentary near the end of WCW. God knows I was. LOL --- LOL |

From Wikipedia:
Back to the Diamond Schiavone now is in the rare position of being the morning sports anchor for both WDUN in Gainesville and WSB-AM in Atlanta simultaneously, even though the two stations have different owners (WDUN has a partnership with Cox Communications, which owns WSB-TV and WSB-AM. WSB-TV's weather staffers broadcast weather on WSB-AM). Schiavone also has done morning sports reports for WHIO-AM and WHIO-FM in Dayton, Ohio. Additionally, Schiavone is a writer for the Georgia Bulldogs Radio Network and produced the Best of the Bulldogs, which won the AP Award for Best Sports Program in 2004.[4] Schiavone owns his own radio production company, Blind Dog Sports. After a few years of work with the Braves system including pre-game and post-game radio coverage, and also spot duty as an official scorer for games, Schiavone returned to play-by-play duties on radio when the Gwinnett Braves began their first season in Lawrenceville, Georgia as Atlanta's AAA-level affiliate for the 2009-10 season. [edit] Georgia Bulldogs Football Radio Show Along with being a writer for the Georgia Bulldogs Radio Network, Schiavone also works one of the post game game talk show's on the Georgia Bulldogs Radio Network for home and away games alongside former University of Georgia quarterback David Greene.[5] |

Hes the Braves AAA minor league Baseball Announcer and he works for the University of Georgia doing a radio show or something.
I really hope he dialed back the frequency on the number of "greatest nights in the history of our sport" calls when it comes to minor league baseball. For someone who said they didnt want to talk about wrestling back in October, he replies to a lot of tweets about wrestling. Im willing to bet if the WWE came to him and offered him a job he'd take it even though he says he's done. The only thing is that hes been out for 10 years.. Xero steals my thunder by 1 minute lol |

With the success of the Muppet guest host spot, I submit that Statler and Waldorf should be given the job. Hell JR already looks like their bastard son.
