So apparently here's the list of the Giants' impending free agents. Since I'm bored I'm gonna go through them.

T Stacy Andrews: You gotta have a veteran backup OL on the roster and the Giants have used the extra blocker jumbo package quite a bit. Whether it's Andrews or someone else there are no shortage of vets who fill the same need and can be brought in for 1 year.

TE Jake Ballard -- ERFA: Apparently ERFA means you get a 3 year deal from your old team for the veteran minimum. With the Giants' cap issues, veteran minimum is always a good thing. Ballard is definitely worth keeping around even though he will miss a large chunk (if not all) of the 2012 season.

DT Rocky Bernard: He's nothing special but I doubt he's looking for a lot of money at this point in his career and would probably take a cheap 1 year deal to come back to the defending champs. If that's the case I'd bring him in for depth.

LB Chase Blackburn: Mentioned it earlier but the Giants have a serious logjam going on at the LB position. He'd be a great guy to bring back but I'd expect him to get a lot of interest from other teams.

PR/DB Will Blackmon: Meh. This guy did basically nothing for the return game the last 2 years and isn't even really good enough to warrant backup playing time on defense. He can go.

QB David Carr: The season's over if Eli gets hurt anyway, but you gotta have a backup QB. Carr already knows the playbook and Coughlin prefers a veteran reserve option rather than somebody like Ryan "on and off the practice squad every week" Perriloux. If Carr leaves look for some cheap free agent vet to be brought in.

WR Michael Clayton: Manningham's probably a goner so bringing him back in to compete for a backup job wouldn't be a big deal.

CB Michael Coe: This guy pretty much sucked and I don't think he would have even made the final roster last year were it not for any of the injuries. No great loss.

LB Jonathan Goff: Touched up on this already but his injury works in the Giants favor. He'll probably have to take a cheap deal to prove himself. Should re-claim the starting MLB job especially if Blackburn goes elsewhere.

S Deon Grant: Decent player, but he's probably gotta take a really inexpensive deal (theme of the off-season) if he wants to come back. Wouldn't be surprise if he retired after finally getting a ring.

KR/WR Domenik Hixon: It sounds like he wants to play despite 2 torn ACLs in 2 years. If he wants to give it a go I think the Giants should give him a shot in pre-season. If he even remotely resembles the player he was, he'd automatically be the best return man they have.

CB Bruce Johnson -- ERFA: Forgot all about him since his injury happened so early on in the year. Veteran minimum salary and he's better than guys like Coe and Blackmon, so I'd bring him back.

DT Jimmy Kennedy: See Bernard, Rocky.

WR Mario Manningham: He had a pretty crappy regular season but his postseason performance and amazing SB catch probably guaranteed he'll get good money elsewhere. I can't see the Giants putting up big bucks for him especially since Nicks is gonna get a huge deal soon, so he's a goner. If nothing else his place in Giants lore is secure.

S Derrick Martin: I seem to remember a ton of ST penalties from this guy. He's not gonna make a lot of money either way so he'd be an extra body competing in pre-season if anything else.

T Kareem McKenzie: The more I think about it, the more I think he's gonna be gone. I have no doubt another team will offer him more and he's probably too old to justify it. Beatty, Brewer, or a draft pick will probably fill in instead.

TE/FB Bear Pascoe -- RFA: Don't think another team will try to sign him and really the Giants have no choice but to bring him back anyway. Decent role player and an awesome name.

CB Aaron Ross: He works way better when he's not starting. I really have no idea what the interest level from other teams will be though, so this is really a toss up. Prince Amukamara being healthy from the get go next year would relegate him to a #4 CB so I'd say he's likely gone.

KR/WR Devin Thomas: Worth bringing back. The guy was a good special teams contributor, and I'll take that from a #4-5 WR any day of the week.

CB Terrell Thomas: Same thing with Goff, should be had for cheap. Huge, huge boost for the secondary and the fact that he'll probably be had at a great price makes it all the better.

DE Dave Tollefson: Love this guy and would love to have him back. I think he'll finally get a pay raise from somewhere else though and would get a lot more playing time on a team that wasn't loaded on D-line depth as is.

DB Justin Tryon: Didn't get much of a chance to play before his injury. Probably worth another pre-season look. He's gotta be better than the Coes and Blackmons of the world.

T Tony Ugoh: See Andrews, Stacy.

P Steve Weatherford: Weatherford is the fucking man and kept getting better as the year went on. Definitely gotta give him a multi-year deal and lock up the punting position for the forseeable future.
