Foley was entertaining, but c'mon, Edge was fucking great. Foley was lucky to be big at the peak of the attitude era, but that was also the time that made Edge a star and pushed him to where he got to.

I love that "luck" is being brought into this.

Also, the Attitude Era didn't make Edga a "star," unless you count midcarding.

What I was getting at Mr. Knight, was that while Foley was good, he wouldn't have gotten over the same in WCW during the same time, or even in WWE during the New Generation. The fact he was in WWE during that era made him everything he deserved.

As for the Edge comment, that was when he started be pushed, and he eventually became a star.

Almost nobody would have made it if they weren't in the right place and the right company at the right time. That's why the point was so funny and stupid. As for Edge, it didn't make him a star, and his later push was fairly unrelated. After all, WWE tried to push him a couple times prior and he fell flat on his face. Edge is a one-note "star" who never got over on his own merits.

In essence, he was "lucky" to be where he was when he was, because he probably wouldn't have gotten anywhere without Vince's man-crush and insistence to push people whether we liked them or not.

Which again, is why calling Foley "lucky" is so fucking stupid.
