Despite missing all of last season following a series of neck procedures, Manning is expected to draw significant interest from several teams across the league.
Just don’t expect the Ravens to be one of them.
The thought that the Ravens would go after 35-year-old Manning while they have Joe Flacco on the roster is laughable to General Manager Ozzie Newsome.
Literally.
Newsome was asked at the Combine whether the Ravens would have interest in Manning, and he couldn’t keep a straight face.
“Joe’s under contract for a year and we’ve already gone on record to say Joe Flacco will be our quarterback. If he does get hurt then we like Tyrod Taylor,” Newsome said.
The reporter then followed up with, “So no Manning?”
Newsome just laughed, and moved on to the next question.
Flacco has started every game for the Ravens since coming into the league in 2008, and won more games during his first four years than any other quarterback in NFL history. The Ravens are committed to Flacco and currently trying to work out a long-term deal with him before the start of next season.

I doubt that Ozzie Newsome ever bothered calling his agent or anyone..
