I think it does. Why else would Capcom have their own characters get made to look weak and inferior in pretty much every trailer?
In the first CG trailer, Ryu & Ken are getting beaten up the entire time by Kazuya & Nina. In the second CG trailer, Hagger is KO'd in the first few seconds and then Poison & Hugo get thrown around the rest of the time. In the entire 2:22 of the trailer, SF gets in 2 hits. The rest of the time is them getting beat up. In the Rufus trailer, Rufus get's in one or two strikes but, ultimately, ends up looking like an idiot. The one trailer where SF is looking impressive is the Bison/Jin trailer but it ends with Devil Jin just grinning/snarling and telling Bison he'll teach him what fear really is. That doesn't look like "SF wins" to me. Quote:
Someone does a single move It does or doesn't hit The fight moves on. The Tekken cast seem to work in another way. They land one punch, not even a special punch, a normal punch and they can now bounce you around for 15 seconds and take off a large amount of health with no way for you to escape until they stop. Even as Zangief/Hugo, I lose a lot of health in these huge combos. Maybe the Tekken cast should be a little weaker if they can do such long combos? I mean, when the tank characters are being drained fom 100% to a little above 25% in a single combo, you know something's not right. |
