There would be no heat generated for Bryan that way, though. AJ gets babyface sympathy this way, and Bryan looks like the biggest dick in the world. Win-win.

The WWE have actually built up some challengers for Beth Phoenix, too, which is kind of weird, since it was just yesterday that she had steam-rolled through everybody.
