Where is the WWE headed?
So I recently started watching WWE again, this would be my first time watching in over 2 years and I have been watching this month. I am so disappointed in the product they are putting out there today. Who had the idea of bringing this Sheamus guy over he's a big disgusting pale white guy with spikey orange hair.
Why are they trying to push this Daniel Bryan scrub into a title spot/ why did he have a title. Triple H is not really a full time wrestler anymore, Undertaker is gone, HBK retired, Umaga is dead, Booker T is gone, Jeff Hardy went to TNA, RVD went to TNA, ECW is gone, Edge retired with a knee injury, Mark Henry is injured, Carlito, Mr. Kennedy left for Tna, Batista left, and Randy Orton, Jericho, and Mysterio are all suspended. Which means that the WWE is trying to push scrubs like Sheamus, Daniel Bryan, Ziggler, the Miz, and Swagger who would just be midcard guys. I mean I guess you would want to give these guys chances, but seriously they aren't interesting enough. There are some things I do like about the new WWE though that being Kane is masked again, CM Punk is at his full potential, AJ, Alberto Del Rio, Ryback (if they make him into something more), Christian is back, and A-train is back but they need to give him a better character than Tensai. The WWE just needs some guys to come back because this roster is so shitty. They should try to get some TNA guys like RVD, Hardy, Angle, and Kennedy, try to get the Undertaker back, Triple H, and Booker T, and get ECW back in place of NXT or whatever garbage they have replacing it. I would watch TNA but TNA has no storylines and the matches are sub par. The direction the WWE is headed from here is right down the drain if they don't make some changes. |

... So you're saying Ryback/ Batista/ Carlito is better than Sheamus/ Ziggler/ Bryan?

when did I say that..? I wouldn't want Carlito to main event or come close to it. I liked him as a midcarder and i'd have Ryback over Sheamus any day. Idk how Batista got thrown into that. Now that i think about it Batista dropped so much weight after he got off of steroids so never mind for him. Bryan isn't interesting at all and Ziggler is meh i just think they're trying to rush him too much. Like how they took ADR out of No Way Out and gave Ziggler the spot.

This is the era of pushing too quickly, then dropping it if it doesn't stick. Sheamus stuck. Never cared for "Mr. Konami Code" "Dancing" Dave Batista. Big doesn't equal charisma. Most talents on the roster could be better used, but that doesn't mean they are bad. Ziggler is freaking amazing, but with no real point to his character now. #HEEL was great so they dropped it.

Alberto has a concussion. They had to replace him with someone, and Ziggler was the best choice.

I think I read that Smackdown is in Baltimore this week, so if they're not already there I'd guess they're on their way.

They are just trying to give Ziggler a title spot and it doesn't work. @Iginfest - I bet you thought you were really funny/creative/cool when you typed that.

Almost everyone who has ever made an impact has been labeled as "just a midcard guy" at some point in there careers. Go look at early Steve Austin footage, and tell me from watching that, you could see what would become Stone Cold.

Note that I'm not bashing you at all, that's not what my posts in this thread intended. I feel that this mindset is exactly what's wrong with WWE these days. They keep looking to the past (HHH, Taker, Brock, Rock, Vader, and the like) for small ratings bumps. The large ratings bumps lie in long term booking, elevating new stars, and generally not putting out a product that's a bit shit. Amdrag is great at what he does, one of the best. Because of shit booking he's not taken seriously. Rey is taken seriously and he's smaller, why is that? You don't care about the talent they have now; nobody does, as it's hard to care when the WWE doesn't. The talent depth they have now could arguably rival the depth of the attitude era. Unfortunately it isn't booked that way.

The roaster is just fine. Couple injuries and 2 key suspensions hurt No Way Out as a whole. Add the Y2J/Randy Orton match to that card and it is a pretty nice line-up.
How do you not enjoy Sheamus? Dude is a monster. Sure he can be a tad bit bland at times but maaaan he is good. Honestly what do you not enjoy about him? |

This guy has no clue about wrestling... he is minus a clue. My guess is he thinks the attitude era is the greatest thing ever and thinks that nothing in wrestling will ever or has ever surpassed it, but in fact he's 13 and probably never even watched the attitude era. Fact is WWE right now is pretty damn good in the talent department, they just don't utilize it and instead of booking for the long term just rely on old timers to come back for ratings. I will agree with one thing though, WWE is headed down the shitter if something doesn't change but it's not that they aren't bringing back guys it's that they are and are ignoring their current talent.

Batista showed just how good he could be during his last months in the company as a heel.

Never said he wasn't good, or that he wasn't a draw. Just felt that he didn't really connect with me personally because he wasn't charismatic. Sure, he may have actually been. Pair him with nothing but the best, keep him protected, and make him look golden, and it's hard for me to believe it's because of him. Note that I watched sporadically during this period so he may have actually stood on his own when I wasn't looking, but I never saw it. "Big?" may be the measuring stick in the WWE, but I watch for talent.

supreme get the rep points for his perfect timing.
I know a lot of people who don't like wrestling anymore because they're living in the past. They want to see the same old guys out there at 50 and 60 like Ric Flair. I still like Jeff Hardy RVD etc etc of those TNA guys and i would still like to see them in the WWE because they're not old. But I like the new guys also and sooner or later triple H gotta hang it up. And the other legends will have to hold it up. Hopefully we don't get them to be like Flair and Hogan who wrestled last year. Its over for them. Hopefully they'll leave just before they go flabby so we don't have to watch them jiggle over the ring. These young guys are good and deserve a chance to shine. Ziggler is good, Sheamus is good, the best move set I've seen for a guy his size. CM Punk even though he stole Ortons powerslam as a move set is great. |

Eh I mean I want Jericho, Angle, the Dudleys, Hardy, RVD, Orton, Kennedy, and Carlito back. Rey Mysterio might be done since he's had like 6 knee surgeries and Henry has had a lot of injuries. The Undertaker needs to stop fucking around and either announce retirement or come back and wrestle just not be a ppv wrestler like lesnar or what HHH is doing now. I heard Tensai was getting a character repackage so that could be a plus. I'm just kind of upset because of how downhill WWE has been lately especially with the writing, people leaving because they know how shitty this company is, and how they aren't really using these guys to their best. I just want better characters than some guy with 2 first names in a speedo which is like 90% of these new wrestlers. I want like a masked character not like a luchador but like how Kane was when he first came up or someone like a Big Boss Man or a Sgt. Slaughter. There needs to be new groups like DX, NWO, Evolution, Nexus, Corre, Ministry of Darkness, and others i forgot about. After all this is done then I think WWE can be how it was 4-6 yrs ago.
