Changing sides is way too much of a kneejerk reaction. Sometimes it makes sense, but other times, you don't have to turn someone face/heel to make them fresh. It's not him being a face that has run its course, it's the whole "overcoming the odds, even when it makes no sense to do so" thing.

Cena turning heel won't fix that. And THAT is what people need to grasp.
I understand that this is your opinion, and opinions aren't supposed to be right or wrong, but yours is simply wrong.
