Any Atlanta fan would give you fucking Chip Caray. Worst sportscaster I've ever had to hear regularly.

And Randall Delgado isn't great now, but he will be a damn good pitcher one day, I would think. Definitely the brightest of the young ones the Braves have right now.

Red Sox finally had enough of Lester and Beckett stinking up the place and started talks with Miami for pitchers Josh Johnson and Anibal Sanchez. Crawford was rumored to be in a deal but that might have been when rumors of initial talks included Hanley Ramirez and not the pitchers.

Its obviously a move hoping being in a pennant chase will rejuvenate Ichiro since he's been terrible this year. But with what the Yankees gave up I think its definitely worth taking a chance on him. Worst case scenario he provides something they've been missing since Gardner went down - speed and defense.

Don't like this trade with Seattle. I would be fine with anybody else, but I hate trading with Seattle ever since we got burned with Cliff Lee. We traded for Pineda and he ain't playing this season.

According to ESPN, the Ichiro deal will only be good if the Yanks get the old Ichiro and either Swisher, someone else, or both struggle once coming back. The fact the Mariners were willing to give cash means they really wanted Ichiro gone if given the opportunity.

Since the Marlins traded Sanchez, I assume the Red Sox either will back out from trade talks with the Marlins because they wanted both Sanchez and Johnson or rumors of Hanley being included end up being true.

ESPN is obviously overlooking the fact that Gardner isn't coming back this year. This move basically replaces Gardner with someone with the exact same skills for the rest of the year.

I think this move is great for the Yankees. What they gave up was well worth taking a chance on Ichiro hoping it can rejuvenate him to play for a contender. They gave up a guy they picked off waivers earlier this year and a guy thats upside is that of a back-end starter or more likely bullpen arm. And they only pay 2M of his remaining deal.

Ibanez and Jones can go back to splitting time at DH which is the reason they were signed in the offseason to begin with.
