Though he was a shithead, Bonds is probably the most blatant blackballing I've seen. Despite his age, he was still legitimately productive and could have helped out most teams. Sure it would have caused a media circus, but that's never stopped some teams before if it meant their team would be a lot better.

Almost certain that there was collusion involved. The owners made an agreement that nobody would sign Bonds to get him out of the league. You can't convince me at least one of the 30 GM's wouldn't have given him a shot otherwise.
