Beane is a genius. The A's gave up a minor league 3B with a sub-.300 OBP, got Chris Young in return, AND the D-Backs are throwing cash to Oakland to help pay for him.

Yordy Cabrera sounds like a total non-factor, yet the Marlins still have to be happy with the deal as it gets their clubhouse cancer off the team AND it sounds like the D-Backs are footing the bill for Bell's entire contract too.

Don't really know what the D-Backs are doing. Pennington isn't even a good throw in, he's a dime a dozen infielder. If Bell reverts to the old Bell than it's a win-win-win deal I guess, but they're assuming all the risk in this trade.
