Yeah. Here's the backstory. About a year ago at this time, Yankees asked all their minor league affiliates (excluding Charleston and Trenton) to change their team names from Yankees to whatever. SWB so far as the only team to comply so far and they had the fans vote for the new team name.

The choices were: Blast, Black Diamond Bears, Fireflies, RailRiders, Porcupines, or Trolley Frogs

All these names got ties to SWB or Pennsylvania in one way or another. Porcupines came in 2nd place in the voting. Which is why it's in the new logo.

Just read that Jay Bruce wants to add six more years to his current deal because he wants to spend his career with the Reds.

Things like that make me feel that all professional might not be money grubbing tools. Granted, it is ALL about the money, but he's willing to stay in a town like The 'Natti rather than go to a glamour market.

The worst argument is "Cabrera took his team to the playoffs". His team won 88 games in the worst division in baseball, and it took a ridiculous collapse by the ChiSox. Not to mention, the Angels won more games.

The fact that Trout finished second, despite Hamilton having the power numbers he did, is still amazing. I couldnt imagine that happening even last year.

Posey as the NL MVP was a great choice considering how valuable he's become to the Giants and his comeback year being one of the best ever especially at the catcher spot. Surprised at Braun being #2 thinking the roids stigma would have at least hurt him more for this year's voting.

Not surprised at Cabrera winning the AL MVP since him getting the Triple Crown should have been enough to get the award regardless of the Tigers making the playoffs and the voters not wanting a repeat of what happened when A-Rod won it in 2003.

Some people will probably question that deal with the whole PED thing but I don't think its a terrible deal for the Jays.

I don't think he'll put up SF-Melky numbers but I don't think its crazy to expect his KC-type numbers.

I think the O's are a huge fluke and that the Jays were destroyed by injuries. Jays have a better, deeper rotation as of right now, and I'd take Romero/Morrow over anything the O's can out there.

Jays' entire team is looking far more balanced and deeper than the O's.

And a starting rotation. And a left fielder. I like what Hammel did,but knees can be tricky. They need more. Also wouldnt kill them to learn to take a walk. They were at the top of the league in HR, but near the bottom in runs.

Left field will be Nolan reimold, he missed most of last season but he had 5 he's in the 16 games he played.

The rotation will potentially be bolstered by wada coming back after missing all of last year, plus Dylan Bundy maybe..
