With the sandbox gameplay and all the scores it's getting, may have to jump on my brother's XBone and give this a try. Haven't played a MGS game a long long time.

Grabbed this for his birthday. Told him the news about the early reviews yesterday. He was happy.

The last ever Kojima edited Metal Gear trailer is out... If you love the series as much as me, it's a little emotional. Fucking nails the music choice as always.

Well... Skullface was leaving. I don't think they were ever at the same place at the same time in GZ. I'm kinda reaching here but literally no, they were never in the same area at once.

There's no shot in any of the trailers of them together, either.

When you start GZ, there is a copter flying off which the trailer indicates as Skullface but never explicitly shows it happened at the same time.

It's such a strange thing... In any other regard a game's realistic graphics would get praised, with all the talk from graphic-whores about resolution and how close guns look to their real-life counter parts and racing simulation car model enthusiasts and all that.

So it would naturally stand to reason that female characters modeled to be attractive would be just that, attractive. And yet, admiring that as you would a great gun, car, or city environment is frowned upon. I've been accused of jacking off to game characters even after I said I don't, exactly because of the stigma of finding female game design actually sexy. If I did enjoy sexy game characters like that, I wouldn't see the problem.

Nobody gets made fun of for finding a simulated football game as exciting as a real one, ya know? Like, who are we to say jacking off to a picture of a real chick is any better or worse than jacking off to Ada Wong art. Is it because she's fictional? Is that worse? I'd say a hot model and a hot game character are very nearly equally unobtainable for the average guy. Dunno, just seems like a shamey thing to vilify.

I don't give a damn about how she looks or what she wears, but her constant kazoo humming will drive me nuts unless there is an option to turn it off completely or after a couple of seconds after she has locked on to an enemy.

Yeah, thing is watching that back now, it foreshadows them being the same at the start. Just the way skullface is talking while Big Boss is walking.

After that they share a Jeep, he's looking at Big Boss hung upside down and finally on mother base directly behind Big Boss with no one acknowledging him. If it wasn't for the tapes and the intro of Ground Zeroes, it'd all make sense... Unless Skullfsce is a seperate person, but the one that wears the face mask in TPP trailer is something Big Boss is imagining, like Joker in Arkham Knight.

Fuck, I need this now. Was despatched today, but Game downgraded it to second class delivery because they're cocks.

So glad I got faster DL speeds now, no preload for PC is BS.

How many of you went ahead and got all the POWs from Ground Zeroes? I got ~8 or so then didn't bother playing all the missions on that same map. I might go ahead and do the rest now while waiting for this.

Although there's no preload, they have confirmed everyone can download from midnight New Zealand time, so basically from the 31st August.

The actual gameplay is amazing just absed on reviews and playing Ground Zeroes, so go for it.This should get you mostly up to speed. There's an error about Zero in MGS3 which doesn't really matter and doesn't go into detail about The Patriots, which you can look up, although most of that exposition is in MGS2 anyway.

For those that ordered the Day 1 edition of the game for the PS4, being reported that an unknown chunk of copies of that game are missing the DLC code vouchers to get the pre-order goodies.

No, you can't. You get one FOB base for free so the base invasion stuff isn't being a paywall. But that limits the amount of missions you can send MB soldiers in and slows down development back at Mother Base. Just makes everything grindier.

Supposedly Share functionality for the PS4 version got disabled. Could end up being a simple mistake like Sony claimed with Until Dawn or actual launch rules in place like with other PS4 games in the past.
