They clearly want to support quickscoping since there's so many easy ways to mitigate it.

Honestly, if the CoD franchise would give 2 shits less about the FPS and incorporate vehicles OR more diversity between players (a la BF3) I might come back to the series. After I played BF3 online, I have never looked back. Played a bit at my brothers' houses, but not purchased the game itself.

There is something cool about being able to fly a jet/helo, or drive a tank/ATV, etc.

Also enjoy the land mines, C4 that actually blows stuff up and the functionality of SOFLAM. Oh yea, destructible environments, that would be another aspect that CoD needs to incorporate to "catch up".

You can find people through Battlelog or other various forums, especially since the rent-a-server feature way back when.

It's pretty amazing what an Ace Pilot can do too, good times!

Seriously though, I never camp, can't STAAAAAAAAAAAND IT!

I experience WAY more camping in CoD in TDM than I do on BF3 Conquest (which requires "defending" which is not "camping").

And quickscoping quickly ruined the CoD series for me. The last enjoyable multiplayer CoD for me was WaW
Cant move in BF3. U move, u get sniped from across the map. Ridic. I bought the game and was sick of it within the week. I like to run and gun, thats why I prefer COD.

I run and gun as well, it's much more fun. I have never been sniped from across a map or anything. If I am sniped, usually it is a 2 person spotter/sniper team.

I don't blame you for giving up after that experience..... but isn't quickscoping just as bad or frustrating?

Eh, for some reason quickscoping doesnt bother me. Mostly because my SMG is great.
But maybe I need to give BF3 another try...

You have to realize that they very well could have hit you in a vital area but lag causes it to appear they missed in the kill cam very much like how the final killcam often looks like they missed by miles.

It happens so little to me that honestly haven't noticed it at all. The thing that pisses me off is that on maps like Cargo which are huge when you respawn ten feet from where you died with the bastard who killed you running around the corner.

I'm tempted to go back to BF3 because I am only enjoying BO2 maybe 50% of the time due to the scandalous lagging issues. When BF3 is good, it's unbeatable, however, it can take a while to find good competitive games. It's pretty shit being on either side of a game where one team is full of gimps who just want to snipe in Rush and, worse, are shit even at that. Also being spawn trapped on some maps is simply no fun whatsoever.

And no, Fangel, I don't want it to be BF3, but they need to introduce SOMETHING new other than "amigad we haz a new moed and different wayz to level, you buy nao?" My point is, the releases since MW2 could just as easily be "DLC" if not for the addition of the solo campaign.

I'm not a "fanboy" of either/or as both have their advantages to their style and can be fun in their own rights.

Agree with the DLC comment, guns and maps could easily be added to games but they need their millions.

This CoD is different to me due to the ability to style a class completely to what you wish to do, even forsaking everything besides a primary weapon if you wish.

Have not enjoyed a shooter quite like this in awhile. I mean its still CoD but at least it's decent.

Agreed on the last bit, which is why I kinda want to get back into it.

Blops was annoying because EVERYONE used the Famas and sadly, if you wanted to remain competitive, the player was pigeon holed to do the same thing.

Thinking of breaking down and buying this. Ugh. Really just didn't want to spend the money, as I already bought Halo and didn't think I had room for two shooters. But people I know have been playing this more than Halo so damn it. Got a month off of school now, and I want to nerd out on something.

So I've seen comments in passing in this thread that say this game is pretty good. Any closing comments before I say 'fuck it' and drive to the store? Lag issues? Balancing issues? Glitches? Probably gonna still buy it regardless of what people say but I'd like to be a little prepared for anything I guess.

No game breaking glitches, pretty balanced (for a CoD game), suggest using the MP7 or Starter shotgun until you unlock the weapon you want, as the starting assault rifles are piss.

and do combat training and use the first preset (has ghost) so you can learn the maps and not be slaughtered.

That's not hard. None of them are, really. This is the first game where I've unlocked all the camos for any gun. So glad the challenges aren't limited to just headshots anymore.

I never said it was hard, it's frustrating as hell to get 4 kills, then get killed by a sniper or a retard with a KSG. And they are limited to headshots, atleast for ARs/SMGs/LMGS, still gotta get 100 before you can unlock the other ones.

They already have an anti "C4/Betty used as a grenade" it's called use flak jacket over ghost.
