Claymores are effective. They seem to go off quicker in Blops 2 than in previous games, making it possible to plant one right in front of a door and getting a kill, as opposed to planting it facing the direction the enemy will run.

He's right, the lag is fucking scandalous. I'm living back home for a while now too and i'm getting an even better connection (22 mb down, 4 mb up) and the lag is still a joke. They fucked the game.

The lag is pretty bad in this game. I've probably complained more about it in previous games, but usually because it was at least somewhat hidden and only happened from time to time. In this game, it happens every fucking game. There is just a serious lag issue with either the coding, or their servers. Get killed 5-10 feet behind walls every other death. Just as testament, I was playing split screen online at a friend's, and what I did on my screen was delayed by at least 1 second on his screen. Which is kind of silly considering we're on the same box.

I join a game and it's just a random roll of the dice as to whether my connection is good or not in a given game. I have 12mb service, which while it isn't fiber, it certainly isn't fucking terrible. 1mb upload too which is pretty 'standard'.

I have full green bars every time, but it's a lottery as to whether a game is playable for me or not. I think it's actually worse the better the connection you have because it can be particularly shit when you are host. This leads me to believe it's a lag compensation issue that they have attempted to put into the game and fucked it up royally. Black Ops had it too, but not nearly as bad as this.

I have green pretty much every map, but a quick check in the menus shows that a couple people have three and one has a two.

It is terrible that I enjoy the game this time and now it is the fucking lag causing frustration.

Yeah, host does fuck all for me. Latency is certainly not the game's strong point.

This happens a lot to me. I feel like my client is roughly 1 second behind whatever is happening in the game. People will start shooting me before I even see them because on their screen, they're already around the corner. On mine, I'm just raising my gun to shoot because I JUST saw them.

Or worse, I'll know a guy is coming due to UAV or whatever, and I'm aiming at a corner, and the guy comes around... I pull the trigger.. and he just shreds me since he's "ahead" of me and saw me before I saw him even though I was prepared.

Depends. Did you like Modern Warfare 3/2 or other CODs? Do you like action oriented unrealistic FPS game or tactical slower pace FPS games?
