Yeah, but if the UFC wants to make a name as a legit sport of MMA, they need to make all events televised like the other sports.

The NFL doesnt make the Superbowl a PPV event, get what i'm saying?

The economics of combat sports is different from that of the NFL, which has a billion dollar television deal and hosts games every Sunday in 32 cities in stadiums that seat upwards of 60,000 and are usually sold out. Those other sports are able to negotiate television deals based on the dozens of markets they are in nightly during the television season. The NBA/MLB/NFL put on as many games in a month as the UFC does events in a year to a much wider audience so of course those tv deals would be more lucrative.

Operations like the UFC and the WWE are still reliant on PPV money and make more money from that than they do from television. That Super Bowl comparison is equivalent to asking the WWE why they won't make Wrestlemania free on USA. I'm sure if cable was a more lucrative route with that business model, the UFC/WWE/Boxing would go there.
