Just watched this week's NXT. I want to like Brad Maddox, and he has moments that are pretty cool, but I don't really get the mad hype around him. Am I missing something?

The opening segment with Bo Dallas and Big E. Langston was pretty good. Langston has really come onto his own and seems far less awkward than he used to. I'm not sure if he is meant to be a face or a heel, but he walks to "cool" line that makes me sad to know he'll be dropping the title to Bo.

I know it's unpopular, but I don't hate Dallas. I get annoyed by his continuous shoving down our throats and his character, but I'm going to give him the chance to develop, because I'm sure I could end up liking the guy one day. After all, Husky Harris became Bray Wyatt. I like Dallas' line about needing to be champion and the implication that he's envious of Big E.'s success.

Jim Ross being there was a nice touch. Whoever is booking NXT knows how to make things feel special, and how to use legends like JR effectively. Championship matches are always a big deal on NXT. The simple tagline of "Is Big E. Langston the biggest, baddest man in NXT; or will Bo Dallas achieve his dream?" is a simple way to some up the title feuds, which are easy to get and suck you in pretty effectively.

Corey Graves is quite good on the mic and I dig his character. He is great at somehow making his offense look believable, too. I'm starting to see what makes Luke Harper so great. He and Graves worked really well together. I'd love to see them in a singles match down the line. Ohno is a decent promo, but some sort of spark is missing. His charisma shines through better when he's out there in the ring. He can hopefully get to that next level and become a great talker, though.

Speaking of great talkers, man is Sami Zayn a natural? He seems like a real cool dude, and he's a Superstar you'd just like to hang out with. He's probably the skinniest guy on the roster, so I hope that he can find a way to make his stuff believable. I bought him beating Antonio Cesaro, and he's a big dude. It's just a shame that Zayn isn't massively ripped, otherwise he would be a sure deal.

Paige is amazing. I loved her work with Tamina and the story it told. It looked like Tammy could have had the match won on the girl fighting above her weight against a main roster Diva, but then Snuka got cocky and Paige capitalised. Alicia Fox will probably defeat Bayley, which will be fine because Bayley is still getting away with jobbing as "the new girl." It will also allow Paige to beat a former Divas Champion before reaching the finals. Summer Rae will probably go over Sasha Banks and move into the semi-finals against Emma, who will hopefully defeat Aksana. Summer Rae vs. Emma could go either way, and while I do love Emma and I think putting the two most over girls against each other would be wise, Summer Rae going into the finals makes sense. Please make Paige the first champion, though. She's earned that.

Still not really fussed about Mason Ryan. I wish him the best, but he just seems to be "Roar! I'm a big guy! Cheer me!" The other dude kind of looked like he had potential, but he'll need a role. As a tough New York guy, I'd love to see him feud with Zack Ryder, who he can say is misrepresenting New York. Alex Riley looked like against Conor O'Brian tonight. Get your shit together, A-Ry. He's still got Superstar potential, but he needs to get his head around certain things. O'Brian has got presence these days. I loved his rolling headlock takeovers. He seems to do a few things that disorient his opponents, which is a nice little technique that you don't see from too many guys. His pairing with Rick Victor will be good, since Victor was so smooth last I saw him. The WWE needs face teams, though. Maybe he and O'Brian could be a face duo together, and come in and instantly spook The Shield?

Man, could you imagine how over The Ascension would immediately be if they returned with The Undertaker to reclaim the yard?
