Help with computer themes and sound
Yeah, so while I was gone yesterday, my little brother must have done somthing to my computer, cause when I got home, the sound and theme on my computer were both completely messed up.
Whenever I try to play a song or somthing in iTunes, it simply doesn't play (not even like it appears to be playing, but no sound comes out, the screen doesn't say it is playing). I thought maybe the program was just messed up so I tried using MusicMatch Jukebox, and when I try to play a song in that, it tells me that the Waveout format is not supported anymore. All my drivers say they are working properly though, and all the system sounds on my computer (the starting up sound, the error message sound, ect.) work fine. The theme on my computer is also really messed up. I always used to just use the default Windows XP theme, but when now I just have the Windows Classic Theme being used, and when I try to go change it, the Windows XP theme isn't even there. I tried using system restore, but that didn't help anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. ![]() |

lol your brother ****ed up your computer.
Maybe you have a virus or something. Try re-downloading and installing your sound drivers for the music problem. As for the XP theme not even being there, try using the Browse thing and looking for it somewhere. |

Well i suggest you do this. go to control panel > system > Hardware > device manager and check if you get any errors or anything like that in regards to your audio drivers. What i suggest you do is to simply re-install your audio drivers and everything will be ok.

*bump*
sadio - thanks for the advice first of all. I reinstalled my audio driver and it worked fine until I restarted my computer. When I reinstalled it again, it didn't fix the problem. If you know of anything else that can be done, I would appriciate it a lot. Thanks again. |

hhhhmm in the control panel go to Add/Remove hardware and see if anything comes up at all. Cause from what you tell me when u click on add/remove hardware something should come up( most likely your audio drivers)
