So, what does mean for Paul Konerko? I know he's a free agent when this season is over. But's like an institution on the North Side.

Think he leaves?

At the least this gives them all the leverage they need to have him retire gracefully or accept whatever the team throws at him. I don't really think they want him back, but they want to avoid a PR nightmare. White Sox fans love Paule and would be less than thrilled if they pushed him out the door. Not saying that isn't an option but its not a road they really want to go down.
