Got really lucky last night. Was doing a mission where you steal two attack choppers from Merrywether. I got run over as we spawned the mission, so we were down one life already. We got to the building in question and everyone else died once, so it was down to me and one other guy. Great, one helicopter each, right?

Well, instead of doing what I expected and spawning bad guys just when one of us got in the helicopter, they spawned more after I had taken off. I'm halfway to Lester's warehouse with two attack copters on my ass when the other guy gets bushwhacked. So I land the helicopter and start heading his way, but I assume the helicopters are going to attack me, so I hide first. He dies. So with no team lives remaining, I drive across the map, sure the attack choppers are going to nail me (they never attack me), climb to the roof, steal the other helicopter, and manage to deliver it.

I so wish I could claim this is because I'm that damn good or something. It was pure luck I didn't get killed on pretty much every leg of that. I'm also really surprised the MW choppers just decide to leave you alone once you've dropped off one of the stolen ones.
