No it couldn't. Yes they had some decent stars but horrendous script writers oh yeah and Russo too. Ironically the best Nitro post July 1998 was the final Nitro. Shame that it took being bought out to bring out the best in the performers. After the finger poke of doom crap you got the impression wrestlers were just there to pick up a paycheck rather than any motivation to entertain the fans with the exception of Sting or Booker T. Ending the streak to Nash killed the Goldberg freight train and then Jeff Jarett as champion???? Even worse was Arquette and Russo holding the belt and signing Tank Abbott to a contract.
