People seem to want Cena to lose to every younger guy as if Cena himself has been in "pass the torch" mode for years now. He hasn't been. He's still a full-time star and the face of the company. Just being in a competetive match with Cena for a guy who has only been in the company for around 9 months is HUGE for Wyatt and signifies his arrival as a star of the future.

Cena losing doesn't affect him at all though, he's still going to be pushed as strong as ever and wins/losses mean nothing to the way Cena is perceived by his fanbase, it would make the guys that go over him seem like a bigger deal. The only good that came from this is that for once Cena didn't laugh and joke his way through the buildup.
