Assuming every character has at least one alt, here's what I'd imagine we might see.
Mario = Dr Mario
Luigi = Dr Luigi
Peach = Motorcycle suit Peach or sporty miniskirt Peach.
Yoshi = Wooly Yoshi
Bowser = Probably Dry Bowser but I'd prefer something like Wart as an alt
Rosalina = ???
Donkey Kong = Retro DK? Mechanical DK from the Mario vs Donkey Kong games?
Diddy = DK Jr or backwards baseball cap and shades like his victory animation in DKC2.
Samus = All I've got is helmetless Samus or different suits.
ZS Samus = ??? Did she have anything interesting in Other M?
Kirby = Yarn Kirby
King DeDeDe = Masked DeDeDe
Olimar = Anyone from Pikmin 2 and 3.
Zelda = Hyrule Warriors style
Sheik = Same as Zelda if Sheik is in HW.
Toon Link = Crawfish pyjamas
Link = Either HW style, SS style or "start of the game" outfit.
Sonic = Sonic Boom style or retro style.
Megaman = Protoman
Pacman = Ms. Pacman

Anyone else, I have no idea because I don't play the games, they have their alts revealed or they've not been confirmed.

True. The appeal of Mii is playing as me and with the custom options available, it does seem strange you can't custom attributes. If you and I played online as ourselves, you'd be power and I'd be speed. Seems backwards. You've always struck me as more speed than power.
