No I meant nobody else seems keen on the idea. I just think bringing him in and making him the GM now would just kill any potential major storyline, not him debuting isn't a big deal. I just wonder if they timed his debut not just for the free wwe network period but also to allow fans time to reconnect/discover about Sting's past, the Monday night wars, his legendary feuds with the NWO etc and just well, build up the hype. Assuming it's the Sting crow character they will bring in, then simply elevating him to GM status in his first five minutes doesn't do justice to a character that represented the "forces of good" in the whole WCW v NWO era and was very much (imo) the ultimate good guy/anti-hero. Triple H has always been one of the best heels in the business, even in his DX days I couldn't imagine him as anything other than a heel, someone you love to hate, who gets under your skin. Cena as a story character couldn't deal with that, the whole Hustle Loyalty Respect crap doesn't strike fear into anyone. The Authourity can only really be and should be defeated by someone/something that plays them at their own game (no pun intended), outwits them pschologically etc i.e. someone no amount of "surprise matches", fake security guards, banning from the stadium can have no effect. It's like a mugger trying to threaten Batman lol the whole "swear to me" deal. Sorry just excited about Sting debuting.....imagine if he doesn't. But yeah I've said it over and over again, that is the ideal and imo ONLY storyline they can have with Sting to do justice not only to his debut but his character, the Authourity storyline and in a sense the company as a whole which has been suffering in terms of ratings, a network which hasn't set the fans imaginations alight, heck WM31 isn't even sold out yet. |
