I feel like you are oversimplifying the appeal a bit. I'm not saying that what you're illustrating doesn't exist because it most definitely does but there is a sub-breed of MMA fans that aren't that way. All of the guys I know that are into it are kind of nerdy about it and are into the tactical aspects of the sport. I like watching a good MMA bout every now and then and am not overly aggressive/meatheadish. Jabba is a huge MMA fan and he is a small frail man with no aggressive tendencies at all. Many fighters now don't really act that way either.

Joe Rogan talks about it all the time. There are aggressive fuckheads with unquenchable bloodlusts but a large percentage of the fans don't seem to be like that.
