Main reason, why would you have the champion of your company look like a guy, that any normal person would have a shot at kicking the shit out of them?

Hogan, Andre, Austin, Undertaker, Lesnar, all big, larger than life characters.

Then you age Daniel Bryan.... Hell CM Punk was a guy that looked like anyone off the street could legitimately kick his ass.
