His gem has never been an infinity gem in the comics, to my knowledge. Just a part of his design. Wouldn't mind if it was in the movie tho.

Right, but seems like a convenient way to introduce Soul into the MCU, and makes a fairly good amount of sense...except we'd have to assume Vision will be killed off by Thanos when he retrieves it.
