They didn't fire him for being a racist, they fired him for publicly embarrassing the company. If he wins the lawsuit it'll be a step towards rehabilitating his image, and as soon as the company feels like his presence won't be a detriment they'll hire him back in a second. It's not like he's still rolling down streets yelling slurs at the top of his lungs.
