This is dumb. Sales of the game made 6 times more money than the online microtransactions. They stand to lose more money alienating the single players coming for the base GTA experience. If the fans don't buy the game in the first place then there is no money to be had from the microtransactions. And the biggest demand is for more single player stuff.

Give the people what they want = larger install base = more people playing = more idiots buying dumb things via microtransactions.
