What do we make of Jack Swagger's heavy breathing and contract with RAW being up? Swagger to go to SmackDown as their version of Scott Hall? I mean, if Slater & Rhyno are Benoit & Angle, surely Swagger can be Scott Hall...can't he?

Swagger, Dolph and Cesaro all quit -- start jumping barricades and start beating people up with Vickie Guerrero as their manager.

I've only seen the Universal Title on television recently. It looks worse than it does in photos.

It just looks too...plastic to me. Dunno.
I'd buy it if Brock won it, because Brock is legit and doesn't do choreographed indy stuff. |

Glad to see Cesaro turned heel yesterday. Not by putting his feet on the ropes, but by winning the match to keep this horribly boring series going.

Sheamus will win the series and then Foley will congratulate him for going up 1-0 in the Best of Seven Best of Seven Series.

They are both great workers. Their matches against one another just all feel the same and they already wrestled a shitload of times before the Best of Seven started. I'd like to see them move on to other things.

As much as I hate to say this, I hope Sheamus wins the series. He is still savagable to be a threatening heel. Not main event worthy anymore but as a filler main event but mainly high mid card heel.

Well, they haven't said what the "title opportunity" is for, probably being vague on purpose because WWE themselves don't know what the long-term plan is.
Anyway, Cesaro could be plugged into feuds with either Owens or Rusev for their respective belts...probably Rusev because I just don't see a scenario in which Owens/Rollins is just a one PPV affair. I'm not sure why but I have a weird interest in seeing a Sheamus/Jack Swagger feud, Swagger's post-match interview made me wonder if they're actually going somewhere with him. They could have some good matches and it could actually make Swagger an asset to the company once again. |

Most likely situation is that Sheamus wins, Reigns wins the US Title at Clash, and we have Sheamus/Reigns again.

You said they should be doing something else rather than this best of seven series. What else should they be doing now? You just gave a bunch of future booking scenarios.
Also Cesaro didn't turn heel, just used a heel tactic. Not necessarily one and the same. They're doing what wrestling is supposed to do and telling a story. Cesaro is getting desperate and willing to do anything at this point. |

And Cesaro can be put with just about anybody - it looked like he might have had a feud going with Rusev for the US belt a month and a half ago. Could have made for a nice Clash of Champions match especially if the rumors are true and Cesaro is on his way out. |

With the rosters as they were constructed post-draft, Cesaro and Sheamus appeared to be two of their more well-known midcard guys. I just feel like rather than being paired off in an endless series of matches, they could have been put to better use working with some of the undercard talent that were now going to be counted on to help fill the show.
Cesaro and Sheamus working with separate people may have prevented shit like Darren Young vs. Titus O'Neil feud being booked to fill space even though they always stink out the joint. |

• The Women's match was alright. I like that Dana played a large role in the match. However, I feel like her little "turn" was wasted on a throwaway segment. Why have her finally snap and slap Charlotte during the opening segment of a random Raw?
But then, she had her match (which she was pretty good in) and then seems to revert back to her previous lackey position with Charlotte. I would say that it makes no sense but part of me thinks that maybe the slap was just testing the waters for a potential Dana face turn in the future. If that does happen, I feel that it'll have to happen way down the line now, as we've already seen her slap Charlotte. I feel that they would need to pretty much begin building it up from the beginning now if they wanted a good payoff. Also, on the subject of the Women's Division. After watching Backlash yesterday and watching Raw today, I can easily confirm that I think SmackDown's Women's Division is so much more superior than Raw's. I've been saying that it was better than Raw's for a while now, but after watching Backlash and then Raw, I can confirm how I feel on the division. Even with Carmella, (who I'm not a fan off) SmackDown's Women's Division just makes Raw's look like a pile of puke. • Staying with the division, and I was hoping that this whole Nia Jax/Alicia Fox thing would actually be something, but all it turned out to be was your regular squash match, but the jobber this time was someone on the roster and not some random local. Hopefully Alicia appears next week. Maybe even costing Jax her first loss or maybe even a double count out, just to keep Jax's undefeated streak alive. More Alicia = good times. • I don't get why New Day vs Gallows & Anderson at Clash of Champions was hyped with New Day vs Gallows & Anderson. Sure, the latter team won against Kofi & Xavier, but it makes me think that New Day could win at Clash of Champions, as at the event, I see it being Kofi & Big E that'll be doing the defending of the titles. If they do win, I can see New Day beating Demolition's record, which I really don't want to happen. • I was really surprised that we got Mahal vs Swagger. This whole "Peaceful" Mahal thing sounds interesting and I'm happy they've actually given Jinder someone to work with and build, rather than having him just job on a weekly basis. Also, I noticed that he had two different themes last night. He walked to the ring with his usual theme, but then when he won, it was a completely different theme that played. On to Swagger, and I'm sure most people here know how much I like Swagger. I'm a big fan of his and hearing his music last night surprised me, as I really didn't expect to see Swagger coming out on Raw in this day and age. Unlike most people, I actually enjoyed Mahal and Swagger's wee match. It sucks that Swagger lost though but to be fair, I always want Swagger to win his matches and Jinder to win his, but both can't win, so one of them had to lose. This week it was Swagger. After the match was interesting though. I really hope Swagger isn't leaving and that maybe this is the start of a heel Swagger. A guy who doesn't really give a fuck and does whatever it takes to win matches. But in reality, I can't see that happen. Sucks. • I really like that Primo & Epico are getting matches and are actually winning them. I would honestly like to see Primo & Epico as Tag Team Champions sometime down the line. Also, I'm still not a fan of Enzo. I do find him to be quite annoying and all he appears to be (to me) is just a walking book of catchphrases. Every time he's on screen, he's spouting the same annoying lines over and over again. I know this is professional wrestling and wrestlers have catchphrases but Enzo is just something else. Even when he's not saying his catchphrases, his mic work is confusing. Sure, he can be witty, I'll give him that, but most of the time, his promos don't even make sense. Last night's promo just left me so confused as to what the hell he was talking about. Then you have Cass. Now, I like Cass and I think he'll be a big player in the future. His inevitable singles run is going to be fantastic, but having him say the same line every time he's on screen is just getting tiring. It was cool at first, then you could tell that they started to struggle to find ways to fit it in with their promo so that it made sense. Then they just began crowbarring it in, and now we're at the stage where he just comes out and says it anyway. • Roman/Owens I skipped but I did see Rusev return, which was good to see. I like Rusev and I actually think that we'll see Rusev drop the belt to Reigns at Clash of Champions, and after trying to regain it but failing, he'll have a feud with some face and win the feud, then after that he'll be in the title picture, where he'll go on to win. I'm calling it now: Rusev will have won the Universal Championship by SummerSlam 2017. |

Feel like Cool King and I rarely have the same opinion on something, but I'm glad we can come together at not being all that high on Cass and Enzo.
"My name is blah blah.....how you doin? Whadda we got here? Cuppa hataz? *dick joke* how you doin? One word blah blah blah.." Cass even yells "tell em 'Zo!!" Everytime during the ramp speeches. Tired of it all. |

The Enzo/Cass act has never been one of my favorites, but they are over at the moment. I'm not sure how long the Road Dogg/Billy Gunn act will last in 2016, but they really should be looking after these guys and trying to embed them into people's tastes right now before it gets cold. I love Epico and Primo, but you can hear a pin drop during their stuff. Couldn't they have beaten The Golden Truth or something en route to this? I mean, I know they have been on a bit of a roll, but people don't really buy them.

Sheamus and Cesaro doing all this for a US Title when you can basically just go to Stephanie McMahon and ask for the World Title shot is a bit ridiculous. Cesaro losing the series will only be good in the sense that bad booking is the new good booking. The best way to get a guy over in this era is to completely fuck them up and get the fans to let you know it.

I'd like it if the winner got a trophy. I like the idea of the series in theory. I've only seen one of the matches. Cesaro/Sheamus stands out in my mind as something not as fresh as it could be, because I vividly remember Cesaro vs. Sheamus at Payback 2014.
