![]() Oh man. You took me seriously. You ******, I know he's not the best. But he's damn good. Did you ever see him catch a screen pass? ![]() While Michael Bennett gets one block and he's gone, Moe Williams just sits behind his blockers and dodges and gets 20 yards despite 4.7 speed. It's a thing of beauty. It's a really, really long play, and you think they fucked it up... but he just keeps going. ![]() Plus, I mean, he's the man. By far the best 3rd-string HB in the NFL. |

Oh and "not the best HB in his division" might be giving him too much credit. We have a pro-bowler in Bennett and a potential pro bowler in SOD, so Moe is technically not the best HB on his team. Or second-best.
![]() But he's still THE GREATEST HALFBACK OF ALL TIME, ******! |

I think the Vikes missed their shot... but a lot depends on the decline of Favre and who replaces them... does Couch's new home turn him around? I dunno... there's no crying in football... |

Missed their shot?
The Vikings are young at every position besides uh, right guard. And their contracts are created in such a way that we will have an ASSLOAD of cap room for years to come. So next year we can look at picking up a linebacker maybe. ![]() |

And as much as I like the Lions' improvements, they still have Joey "closed-eyes passer" Harrington dumping the ball off to Corey Schlessinger.
And their secondary is still suspect. Hopefully they won't suffer three season-ending injuries in the same game to their secondary this year. Against the Vikings. ![]() |

Still got the hook-up w/ pep-moss... but I still think there a long way away... yeah, they have youth... that doesn't always equal wins... that and I'm not overly impressed with the coach... but who knows... the right free agent move next year, and they're a different team. |

I'm happy for Brock. He deserves atleast a chance. Remember what he did just for us fans at WM 19. Absolutely incredible. So good for him

The Vikings had no shot as they were. The attitudes... Smith didn't care about football, Moss was immature and Carter was JUST AS immature, hindering Moss' potential. Now we have the most dominant offense in the NFL, and the only thing holding us back is coaching. Free agents my ass. We have the talent. Our offense is almost perfect. Our defense only has a hole at linebacker, and even that remains to be seen. Nattiel showed a lot of potential last season, and he's had a year to grow. I don't think we're a player away. I think the talent we have should be able to mask the talent we lack. But that again is all on Mike Tice. The Vikings could win it all, if Mike Tice learned from his mistakes. He brags about never making the same mistakes twice... We'll see. But don't say our 98 team was better. Our COACHES were. ![]() |

![]() Robert Smith, LeRoy Hoard, David Palmer, ![]() Randy Moss, Cris Carter, Jake Reed, Matthew Hatchette ![]() Brad Johnson, Randall Cunningham, Jay Fiedler. ![]() Um, the TEs we had in 98. ![]() |

By the way, I was more refering to 2000, when you had Culpepper and didn't have Reed (I think he was in New Orleans that year). Time will tell.... I'm just really not sold on your RB situation, and if you ran a short route/ball control, might be a different story, but the office Tice is running is a "high scoring" and for that you need a good RB, who can bail your ass out when it's 3rd and 17. I'm not saying the Vikes are the worst or have no shot.. but assuming every team is healthy... I just don't see them even making the superbowl. |

Mike Tice is all about ball control. We have not put many points on the board, because we are ball control. However, for the past 29057907420937409274 years, we have been either AT or NEAR the top of the NFL in offense. Last year, we were #1. The year before, when we went 6-10, we were the #1 rushing offense, #2 offense behind Oakland. The reason we have "big plays," is because we play small ball, but when they play up, we audible, we make teams pay for playing 8-up. That's not a high-scoring mentality, that's SMART. If they can't play 8-up, they have a harder time stopping the rush. If they play 8-up, they have a harder time stopping the pass. It's simple football. We have lost nobody except for the WR we upgraded. Add that to more experience for Pep, Onterrio, Burleson, Campbell, and McKinnie, and we have improved quite a bit since last season. So yeah, we are the best offense in the NFL. And what the fuck, no HBs? Are you looking at this year's Vikings, or the Vikings from 10 years ago? ![]() Michael Bennett can break a long gain at any time; he's the fastest HB in the NFL, one of the fastest players. He's a world-class sprinter, and I think he was planning on trying out for the Olympics, if he didn't get injured last year. So on 3rd and 17... there aren't many players I'd rather have. I'm sorry, man, but you don't seem to have any clue about the Vikings at all. While I agree they're probably not Superbowl-bound, I'm sure our reasons for saying so are completely different. You may say that we don't have any HBs ( ![]() |
