• "Previously on Raw"
What? • Did anyone else notice the Curtis Axel "AxelMania" and Sgt. Slaughter graphics during Rollins' entrance? They only appeared for less than half a second but I managed to capture them. ![]() What's all that about? Anyway, so Rollins just randomly decides that he wants revenge on Triple H, around three and a half months after Triple H screwed him over? I was actually happy to see the Big Show back. The guy looks in great shape and he actually showed how fat Kevin Owens really is, when he struggled to lift him over the ropes for a Chokeslam. When The Big Show, of all people, struggles to lift you up, you know you're fat. • This is my introduction to Jack Gallagher and I'm not a fan. I find him really annoying and just a really really really poor man's William Regal from back in the day. He makes me think that he would be the result if you crossed William Regal with The Vaudevillains. He's quite annoying and strange. Annoying in that after pretty much every move he adjusts his hair and strange for the fact that X-Pac was one of his favourite wrestlers. I think he's the only person I've ever heard of who lists X-Pac as their favourite wrestler. Oh, and he also looks and sounds like some kind of child sex predator, but I know that's not his fault. Daivari on the other hand. I like him but it's quite obvious that the guys in the back don't, seeing as he's never won a match in the WWE. I think the Cruiserweights should just stick to 205 Live. Make them exclusive to it and free up some time on Raw for more matches for lower-card guys. For example, where have Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas, Primo & Epico, Jinder Mahal, Neville and Sin Cara disappeared to? Axel & Dallas were starting something and it suddenly stopped with a Bo Dallas victory. Mahal had a new gimmick and then he went AWOL and Primo & Epico defeated a hot tag team and were on PPV and now they've vanished. If the Cruiserweights were exclusive to 205 Live, the free time on Raw could be used to showcase matches and build up angles with lower-card guys, with one of them possibly striking a cord with the fans and gaining some popularity and then go somewhere with it. Instead, we get long-ass backstage segments and vignettes while the ring crew set up the Cruiserweight ring, which is then host to toned-down Cruiserweights who have matches in front of crowds who clearly don't give a fuck. If you want to watch Cruiserweights, then watch the Cruiserweight show. Makes sense to me anyway. • Lady backstage with Titus was intriguing. • Sasha Banks is horrible on the mic. It didn't really help her much that she sounded like she has a cold. So we have yet another Charlotte/Banks match. Oh goody. ![]() But seriously, this is never going to end, isn't it? I can't really say I'm surprised though as I was actually expecting another match and I'm also expecting Charlotte to win the title back. • Is Rich Swann's "thing" that his parents are dead? It seems to always get mentioned when he's on screen. Are we suppose to get behind him and like him because he smiles and dances even though his parents are dead? It feels like that's the message they're sending out. • Alicia loses again. ![]() Hopefully though this starts a little feud with Bayley. Fox won't come out victorious, but at least we'd get to see more matches from her. • Jericho really should have won the title. Jericho as US Champion sounds so good and could be really interesting and entertaining. It was a good match though. I'd say it was the best match of the night. Jericho being great as always. • I'm pretty sure we all saw the ambush coming, back when Lana told Enzo to show up at her hotel room. Still, the segment was actually really good and I'd say it's probably the best I've see from Enzo so far. He played the part of getting mauled so well that it had me glued and it actually looked like a 100% legit savage attack which left me feeling sorry for Enzo. Also, Lana. ![]() Rusev is a very lucky man. • So next week we'll see a triple threat tag team match for the titles. I'm guessing this will go one of two ways. 1. New Day lose the titles without being involved in the ending. 2. New Day retain the titles and that's their big "huzzah!" for breaking the record. If New Day do lose the titles but weren't involved in the ending, I can see them winning the titles right back at Roadblock and then possibly continuing on where they left off. • Judging by the crowd, nobody gave a fuck about the Charlotte/Ric/Sasha segment. There were a lot of empty seats and hardly any noise. • Overall, Raw was Raw. It had its moments this week, but still, meh. |
