I have no intrest i changing your mind, youve already voted. Its your absurd notion that the WWF somehow matters more thats problematic. When you couple that wih you dont care about the draw theres really no reason to get an erection for one product over the other.

I did ask for something good from his WWF run, but you can give me something good from any company he was in other than what I listed on my last post. I'm just saying, no one has really said anything about Dusty other than "he drew really well" so what did I miss in terms of Dusty's greatest hits?

But it does seem weird that we'll just ignore his WWF run completely "because the machine wasn't behind him."

1) Basically anything Dusty qualifies for your "something good" inquiry. You just seem to think it was all shit. Opinions are opinions and all that, but honestly if you didn't enjoy Dusty's work I'm inclined to believe that there's something wrong with you.

2) No one's ignoring his WWF stuff. They're just saying that it doesn't detract from his overall appeal. The fact that you think it should is absurd. Do you judge Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan on their spectacularly terrible TNA stuff? I sure hope not. A good wrestler is a good wrestler no matter where he applied his craft, and his accomplishments from one point in time do not suddenly get torn to shreds just because he's done something stupid and/or terrible at a later date.

1. "anything Dusty qualifies for your "something good" inquiry." Like what? What are some good things he did other than the ones I've already listed. Apparently no one has any considering I've asked like 10 times.

2. I'm not saying that Dusty's WWF run detracts from his appeal, I'm comparing that part of his career (along with the rest of his career which everyone seems to ignore I'm doing) to all of Kurt Angle's career. When you have a run like Dusty's run in WWF you're gonna need some huge moments from his NWA run to compare to Kurt Angle's incredible runs in WWF/E and TNA. I'm comparing their entire careers.

Once again, if someone has something that Dusty Rhodes did that can compare to Kurt Angle's run, I'm all ears. But just telling me how much he drew and how everything he did is great isn't enough for me to pick Dusty over Kurt.

I will say I think "drawing power" is an overrated in a contest like this. It's best wrestler. You're judging the wrestler. Drawing power has way too many other variables. If Angle came around in Dusty's time he would have likely drawn huge. If Dusty came around in Angle's time he likely would have been a Brodus Clay-esque fat comedy character and not drawn much at all. I wouldn't hold that against Dusty though.

If you're running a show you have that goal in mind. If you fail miserably at your job though it doesn't necessarily mean the guys you had to work with were all shit wrestlers.

I'd say the best wrestler is the one who CAN scam the most money out of you. I think it's better to decide who you think COULD draw better without factoring in outside variables as opposed to "he drew more and therefore is better".

My point isn't exactly that drawing power should count less. It should just be considered differently. If you just look at the numbers and say "he drew more therefore his ability to draw was better" then that's kinda flawed. There's too many other variables that go into one guy drawing than his ability to do it. Dusty in WWE was not a worse draw than Dusty in NWA. But if you look at one vs the other and just judge by the numbers, suddenly it's not even close. Even though it's the exact same guy. That's where the flaw lies. There's gotta be some personal judgement that goes with it. It's not as cut and dry as people make it out to be.

Dusty was way before my time so I know very little of him. I realize the impact Dusty has had and what he may once have been. Although I feel like I need to look into it further to seriously justify not voting for him, I vote Angle.
