I agree it's a moment, but Orton winning the title adds a layer of complexity. In Bray's mind, the alliance should be about trying to further Bray's career, but now Randy is in the title match at Mania. All the while Luke can say see I told you, you can't trust Randy. Then Randy can say look, I did have your back Bray, but you got eliminated, isn't it better one of us is in the main event. Now when Bray wins the title, he can put this expectation on Orton to essentially lay down at Mania. Orton does some soul searching, acting like he will do that. Then a few weeks before Mania, he gets put in a situation where he hits an RKO on Bray. Then you have Luke out there as an x factor.
Is still a great storyline without the title, I just think the title adds a layer.
