They'll actually make more money than last year apparently from this show because they rose ticket prices and are charging more for their travel packages (they added SD and admission to various theme parks w/ the travel deals this year).
Not sure on the stadium selection, still seems weird to me that WM is being held at a stadium with bleacher seating in the upper bowls. I think they could have sold out in Miami or Tampa -- My guess is Orlando pulled out all the stops to Woooooo WWE over. Camping World Stadium (like the Alamodome that hosted this year's Royal Rumble) is not really used for very much and (also like the Alamodome) has undergone expensive renovations in recent years. Outside of "Orlando City SC" playing there until their own stadium is complete not much happens at Camping World Stadium, so the city of Orlando likely bent-over backwards to win the E over when they bid on WM. |
