• I've been meaning to ask for a while now, but I thought Elias Samson was supposed to be a drifter, because of his nickname being "The Drifter". He was living up to that nickname when he began appearing on Raw, but it seems that since he began having matches, he's no longer a drifter and he's just some guy with a guitar and that's his gimmick.
He has a guitar and tries to sing a song but he can't as he's always interrupted. It's like they've taken the concept of The Rock's concerts during his heel run in 2003 and severely diluted it and gave it to Samson to have as a gimmick. • I like this reinvented Goldust. Having his own cameraman is good too and I expect that in the future we'll see "Goldust Cam" during his matches or whatever you want to call it. I was expecting a match but a beatdown is ok I guess. • Who the fuck are The Ball Family and why are they so annoying? • Curtis Axel gets a match. This is all good. Hopefully he can get the Tag Team Championship with Bo sometime down the line. • I don't think I've waited so long for someone to attack a friend after acting like everything is ok. I knew it was coming but the wait felt so long. It's good though. I'm really looking forward to Cass on his own after all this with Enzo is through. • Curt Hawkins had a match. Thank God. We need more Hawkins. (preferably winning) • The Gauntlet Match was actually alright. Nia Jax looked great during it but the fact that she lost at the end via a shit submission after dominating from the beginning and Banks selling being so fucked up that she could hardly do anything, just doesn't make much sense to me. I can't remember the last time a Raw Women's Championship match didn't involve either Charlotte, Banks or Bayley. Has there even been a title match since the brand split that hasn't involved any of those three? It seems that matches for the Raw Women's Championship always has to involve at least one of them and at this stage, I find it really boring, repetitive and unimaginative. I was really looking forward to Bliss/Jax as it would have been a refreshing change and different from what I've seen since the brand split when it comes to the Raw Women's Championship. Instead, we get Sasha Banks having yet another title match. If she fails in winning the title over the next few months, then I'm expecting Bliss to defend against Bayley again. |
