No, it's not, and it's a symptom of them needing to cut costs. I personally don't give a shit about pyro, but it reminds me of when the crowd was chanting "Fire Russo!" and Dixie Carter's response was to say "It wasn't even Russo who wrote that segment!". Um, there is a grander point here being missed...

Do you think they should attempt to make the PPV's "different" or stand out or anything?

Perhaps use pyro/effects ONLY on PPV's and/or mix up the set design just a bit. I dunno man, it is all starting to blend and become same same.

Spending a bit of money on PPV shows to make them feel aesthetically different would go a long way to helping them stick in the memory. Maybe they don't always need to have completely unique sets or anything, but cool intro videos, specialized theme songs, different rope colors -- smaller genuine touches that don't require a whole load of money, but rather a little bit of creativity.

Pyro has its place in wrestling. Maybe not for every RAW or SmackDown or entrance, but if someone really calls for pyro -- give them pyro. It should come about organically as an aesthetic decision.
