Tag titles are not necessarily needed for tag team matches. I don't like the floating champ idea. If the goal to make brands exclusive and give them identity then giving them something you can only see on that brand would solve the problem. But I don't think they ever really thought the brand split idea through anyways.

Brand split is a bad idea in the first place. Having floating champs is basically the same idea as the champs on one show thing if you are going to still have matches anyway. It does make the brand split useless -- which it is anyway.
